School Daze Week of 11/10/14

First, I would like to say "Thank You" to our veterans on this Veteran’s Day, 2014. The dedication of these men and women (some giving the ultimate sacrifice) allow people like me to be sitting at my kitchen table, sipping coffee and writing my streams of conscientiousness.Today, the B Naturals along with our JROTC program will be performing at BAE in Nashua and Hudson, celebrating Veteran's Day.

November 15 (Saturday)  are the NHMEA All State Auditions. This is just a reminder that students who are auditioning need to be at Alvirne by 8:30 a.m..  The bus will leave at 8:45 a.m..

November 24 (Monday) is the All New England Band Festival which will be hosted at Plymouth State University.  Congratulations to Cade Ciripompa, Cody Lenzi and Nick Rossetti for being selected.

A review of Band performances for November

Friday, November 28, 2014 is the annual Hudson Tree Lighting.
This is an “optional” performance which begins at 4:00 p.m. at the Hudson Commons and ends when Santa Claus comes to light up the gazebo and all the holiday decorations at the common.  I will need help at Alvirne about 3:00 p.m. to load my truck with some equipment, if someone else has a truck that would be a big help. Students should plan on reporting at the commons by 3:45 p.m.
Saturday, November 29, 2014 is the Derry/Londonderry Holiday Parade. This originally was not on the calendar as there was some discussion as to the date.  Step off for this parade is 1:00 p.m. I will ask our student performers to be at Alvirne by 11:00 a.m... We are scheduled back to AHS by 3:00 p.m.  This is a graded event; there will be a make up assignment for those students who cannot attend.
Again, thank you to our Vets and  to all my readers have a great week!

Don't forget those fund raisers like leaf raking, pampered chef and the upcoming holiday calendars.
