I want to thank EVERYONE who supported our Euros for Europe endeavor at Barnes and Noble this past Wednesday (Nov.30). I hope everyone found their literary holiday gifts as well as those DVD's and CD's. Speaking of CD's the jazz band may have a "live" CD of our performance at Barnes and Noble if the stars align.  I would suggest that you  bring a few extra dollars at the Holiday Instrumental Concert (Dec. 7) for a great stocking stuffer. NOW, it's not going to be a professionally recorded/mixed CD but let's just call it the ultimate bootleg CD made with raw talent and love!

The results are in for the upcoming NHMEA All State Festival and Concert April 12-14, 2012.

Mrs. Beaton definitely hit a home-run with inviting  Jim Papoulis to come and give the choir students of Alvirne an outstanding clinic.  I hope everyone had a chance to check out the great pictures in our photo gallery and read the various articles in the local newspapers. If you would like to read more about Mr. Papoulis go to

I want to send a "shout out" to ITT of Nashua for hiring the Alvirne Jazz Band to perform at their annual holiday party at the Crowne Plaza. Thank you for your generous donation to help defray the cost of our "Euros for Europe" fundraising efforts.

Remember that this Wednesday (Dec. 7) is our Holiday Instrumental Concert and Thursday (Dec. 8) is our Holiday Choral Concert.  Sadly, we have to break with tradition as the band program has gotten too big (great problem to have) and 3 hour concerts are just a little too much for any human to handle in our gymatorium. I am asking that everyone who attends bring a non perishable item to help those less fortunate. Monetary donations at the door will also be accepted and don't forget to bring a little extra so that if the stars align you can purchase a copy of the jazz band live at Barnes and Noble - the raw version!

OK, it's time to make a few phone calls then head down to Bronco Land and get some administrvity work done before the E. Derry Upper Village Tree Lighting. I hope to see
everyone there!
Oooops ! I almost forgot - Band for Hire! That's next week December 10. More information to follow but I just want to let you know - we are "sold out" of neighborhood performances.

Have a relaxing Sunday and GO PATS!

Mr. B
