School Daze Week of September 12, 2011 (Thursday)

Hi All, just thought I would take a minute to write. Last night, we had our field rehearsal and yes we got through all 3 tunes, 44 sets, getting on the field and getting off the field hopefully. There is still a lot of "detail" work to do but I think over all tomorrow nights performance will be favorable to our fans.
Today, was extremely busy as we had our first pep rally and all the craziness that happens on this day. Just an FYI - all students need to report at AHS by 6:00 p.m. I'm certain there will be excitement in the air as this is the first time our freshman perform and the first/last time our seniors play a field show at Alvirne High School. This weekend I will work up a letter for USPS mailing with regards to October 1 (Gillette Stadium) and the Salem Band Show on October 8. There will also be information on this website about both of those performances. Can you believe that September is half way over - where is the time going.

To the drumline - I know I was a little harsh today, I think you know where I'm coming from - enough said.

A few friendly reminders: Saturday is the "All You Can Eat" pancake breakfast at Applebees in Nashua from 8-10 a.m.. If you did not get your tickets there is still time, email Mrs. Kraemer (email information is on this page). The jazz band is also having a car wash this Saturday 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. stop by have your car cleaned and listen to members of the jazz band serenade you.
We are now finalizing a Jazz Band gig at Pumpkinfest on October 14. We will also be looking for volunteers to park cars - more info to follow.

Before I finish I would like to wish someone a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Tomorrow Sept. 16 is the original Mrs. B (my mother's 89th birthday). I hope this day brings our football team some extra inspiration and the band well...........Let's take the field and own it as we perform our salute to BiG HAIR BANDS.

Finishing up and listening to KJAZZ!

Ciao,
Mr. B
